    i will use the pc for virtualisation such as installing windows 2008 server,lunux,windows 7 clients....and surfing the web....i want a machine that will last a few years at least!

    why would you use so many of OS in one desktop..
    and again...
    even 8gb is enough for all os if you're gonna use them...

    This bundle would be better and if you feel the need for more ram you could buy some yourself .

    They are neck and neck in terms of performance , the i5 will use less electricity and you are getting newer tech plus saving over 100 !

    but he's not getting hyper threading and losing out on RAM for allocating to virtual machines. It maybe debate how advantageous hyperthreading is but it can be useful in some circumstances so I would be inclined to go for the original bundle.

    hyperthreading isn't worth £100 imo, and you can get another 8GB of RAM for £40 easy.
