Im 17, female, normal B.M.I, quite active and for around two weeks my blood pressure was high(140/98)but sllightly changed , i got a 24hr monitor and it showed my bp was high part of the day(morning) when i was in class. today i went to my gp and she said it was normal(was at home a few days before hand didnt go to school) so i wonder if its just stress??
and she wants to check whats causing it to go up so i have to see a specialist. i have no family history of it, and got ECG, blood tests and urine tests done and an abdominal ultrasound, all my results fine except cholesterol 6.3, as its inhereity. Whats other tests will i have to get done when i go to the specialist??

If you're doing the leaving or a lot of school work as of late it might have caused it to increase. Then again it could be medical, which I can't give any advice on (against boards rules).

Have you been tested for meningitis/septicemia? Just saying because an aunt of mine had similar symptoms and was positive for meningitis.

To be honest,I dont know if they did or not but I might look up information about it. Thanks. Do you know how you get tested for it?

I honestly don't. I think your GP is the best person for that or the specialist you're going to see.
