Gear for sale - all proceeds to Santa Strike Force

OK, for the past 3 years or so I've accumulated a load of stuff, much of it never used and now surplus to requirements. I'm going to post details in this thread, and here's the deal

I will put a minimum "price" here - basically the first poster to pledge that amount to the Boards Christmas good cause, Santa Strike Force, will get it (related Boards Forum here)

I will cover postage - all you have to do is post your pledge this thread and then donate via the following link:

    [ssf] commando [/ssf]

Or transfer money to the dedicated account:

    Tom Murphy

Bank Of Ireland, St Stephens Green

    Sort Code: 900084

    Account Number: 65748028

Who knows, if this thread takes off maybe we'll do something similar to what After Hours are up to next year. I'm pretty sure Vlad will be up for something like that:D (of course, as a CMod I would have to stay out of such activities - I may be required to adjudicate on something and that would clearly be inappropriate if I had a vested interest)

Please keep all discussion in-thread - do not PM me about any of these items

Anyway, I'll put some things up over the next few days.

    13. Assos FuguJack Windproof jacket, Yellow XLG. 2009 version of this. Was pretty much the warmest cycling jacket out there until they brought out its successor. You will see these don't come cheap. This one has been worn through one winter, but remains in excellent condition. Available for a minimum pledge of €12090Gone to nilhg

    14. Assos Intermediate Evo jacket, Black XLG. I think it's the 2009 version of what can be seen here. It's had quite a bit of wear, but still very effective. There's what appears to be a little "bobbling" (more like fluff actually) on the shoulders, but otherwise in very good condition. Minimum pledge €40Gone to nattefrost

    15. Boards jersey, old style. Long sleeve XXL, new and unused, with label still attached. Minimum pledge €30.Gone to godtabh

    Hopefully more tomorrow

What's the sizing like on the Assos gear, if there is a reasonable prospect of a half decent fit I'll take no 13, these days I'm 42in chest or UK L.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 821 ✭✭✭Gallant_JJ

Who made the boards jersey? Just wondering about sizing. Generally xl, if it's close I'll take it.

You're pretty much the same size as me. The XLG is slightly large for me. I'm comfortable in the XL (186cm, 85kg), but the Assos gear is fairly snug/stretchy anyway and I still wear a few of their XLG tops. However when just trying it on I noted a slight tear at the bottom of the "inner" zip - maybe 5-10mm. Can be easily repaired and does not affect the functioning of the jacket at all, but I'll drop the "price" 25% to €90

Carvahlo Custom made it. It will be too large for you though (it's very baggy on me)

    Thanks for the interest

    17. Shimano Ultegra CS-6700 10 Speed Cassette 11-23. New, unused and boxed. Currently at €60 on Wiggle. Minimum pledge €50Gone to Diarmuid

    18. Profile Design T2+ Aerobars with S-bend bars. A bit of cosmetic scratching but never actually used. As seen here at €114. Fits 31.8mm bars (not sure what I've done with the 26mm shims). Minimum pledge €70Gone to hiDEhi

I still have a few KG to go to get to your weight so I'll go ahead with this, seeing as it's for charity the original price is fine, I'll make the payment through the other thread and PM you the details later.

Thanks guys - PM me your details - I'm aiming at getting everything ordered to date out on Tuesday

  • Administrators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 78,393 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭Beasty

Everything ordered to date should be in the post tomorrow. Now for a few more items:

    19. Assos iJ.HaBu5 Windproof Jacket, Red XL - Top quality jacket, but unfortunately the zip on one of the 2 rear zipped pockets has broken. It is probably relatively easy to get it replaced (I understand Assos offer this service), but I have no idea what it would cost. Was used a lot last winter but remains in excellent condition, except for the zip. Alternatively it could be used as an open pocket. You will see the list price is well over €300, but this can be yours for a minimum pledge of €100Gone to Darkglasses

    20. Selle Italia Gel Flow Flite saddle. White, unused and still in original packaging. Currently on sale at €113, yours for a minimum pledge of €80

    21. Shimano Dura Ace 7950 compact outer chainring - 50T F type 110PCD. Unused and still boxed. List price €195, available for a pledge of €140

    22. Shimano Dura Ace 7950 compact inner chainring - 34T F type 110PCD. Unused and still boxed. List price €65, available for a pledge of €50

    23. BBB Ultrawear Overshoes Size 45/46. New/unused - still attached to original packaging (unwanted prize;)). Listed at €39, available for a pledge of €25Gone to Lusk Doyle

    24. Look Keo cleats Black (nil float) Unused and in original packaging. On sale at just under €20, available for a pledge of €15Gone to hiDEhi

Very tempted by the Habu jacket, but I'm definitely a smaller guy. How is the sizing on those jackets?

XL fits me very cosily - as already mentioned I'm 186cm or so and 85kg

Ah what the heck, it's Christmas and it's for the kids! I'm sure to put on the missing kgs over Christmas anyway!

I'll pledge the 100 euro so.
