    BALBRIGGAN BANK MACHINE SCAM

Recently in Balbriggan a scam was carried out at an ATM machine. The scam involves the cash dispensing slot as opposed to the card slot and the card skimming scam that we may all be aware of. It is suspected that something is placed in the machine to stop the cash coming out and the customer thinks the machine is broken/empty and walks away. The perpetrator then comes back , removes the blockage and takes your money.

DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THE MACHINE PHONE THE BANK AND WAIT. BEND DOWN AND HAVE A LOOK IN THE SLOT TO SEE IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE REMOVED. IF THE MACHINE ALLOWS YOU TO PUT IN YOUR CARD AND DETAILS, IT IS NOT EMPTY. THE MACHINE WILL TELL YOU.
