My eldest son, wants to go to Turkey and Azerbaijan on holidays this year, he is 16 years old, I am incapable of travelling due to a work related injury, but I would love him to see the world. Is there anything wrong with me giving him the money to let him travel there? He also wants to see Gaza and Israel on his travels. Help is much appreciated folks.

No way man. They are not appropriate places for a 16 yr old to travel to alone.

Is he in a group with adults? Actually it doesnt matter. Dont be a knob and let him go there...........maybe have an aul google about the places. 5 mins on the net and you wont be asking this question again.

I am giving him substantial money to fund his travels. He wants to nip into Palestine first, via the Egyptian Border. He is a dual British and Irish Citizen, so he has two Passports, so he wil not face issues regarding having been in palestine prior to entering Israel.

If you're willing to pay for him, I'd say a better bet might be to put the money aside until he's 18, add to it a little at a time, and send him off on a really big adventure. Slightly less worry about him at that age too I'd imagine.
