Hi Skippy I bought an Inverter welder 2 yrs ago (not that make)and I loved it.I used it for every kind of job and it handled it with ease, until one day about 8 months ago it would not switch on.I took it back and it was sent for repair only to be told the circuit card had burned out and was not worth fixing.I had paid €480 for the damn thing and really did not work it exceptionally hard.I miss it a lot but am very reluctant to replace it at that kind of money! Its very hard to know which are the good ones and which are the sh**te ones .

the dc/inverter welders will give card trouble if they are used with a voltage drop which can happen depending on distance from supply board & cable sizing. It might not be the case that the welder unit was faulty. A small voltage drop is enough over time to cause trouble with the welder electronics.
