I just wondering how much it would cost to get one of these replaced?

I had noticed the other day that one was broken in the car and got a quote of €100 to replace it. I'm just wondering how easy would it be to pick up myself and replace it?

Its a very easy change, as long as you make sure to connect ht leads in the correct order so the firing sequence is correct

I guess you have VVTi engine, right?

If so, 2nd hand coil will cost you roughly 40 eur. Make sure you get the proper one. Some 'yotas need 3-pin coils, some 4-pin ones.

It is very, very easy diy actually. Al tools you need is a #10 spanner.

Undo 4 nuts on top of cover (top of the engine), remove cover.

Undo 1 bolt from a coil you want to replace.

In some cases additional bolts holding ignition wires must also be removed.

Disconnect a plug from a coil, pull it up.

    Replace and assemble everything. ;)
