Is SkyGo worth getting with 1-2meg broadband? I have a friend with sky who has offered his on-line account.

It's been renamed "on demand" but exactly the same.

It depends on your cap. What is your download cap? Also are you on an exchange with contention or "next generation" Do you get those speed 24 hours a day without fail?

You can leave your box/laptop on all night to download stuff. It can only be used with the newer boxes with an ethernet port (not the white ones)

Some laptops cannot handle the playback.

Sky go/demand is free if on Sky TV. Are you not on Sky TV?
The actual lineup available to download depends on your package. If not paying for movies already, then no movies etc.

Also, it only appears to work with Internet Explorer, it requires Silverlight to run.

Unless there's a FireFox Add In?

Sorry, what you want to discuss is a breach of the terms and conditions of Sky On Demand. You can only access it if your a Sky subscriber.
