Has anyone ever successfully replaced a broken ratchet? I lost the tightening part at my CX race on Sunday.

Or try Cyclesuperstore - they're a fairly common spare part.....

Yeah, got mine on chain reaction. Shredded one after sliding across the road not once but twice in 10 minutes. Rest of shoe was fine. One of the many advantages of SIDIs.

A very kind person has donated one to me from an un-used shoe of theirs. Gonna have a go at replacing tonight.

I used my broken one as an excuse for new shoes!

Hope you saved the ratchet from the good one just in case anyone round needs one some day ;)

Hmmm, one red and one grey, most unRaam like:pac:.

I had it for ages and then dumped both shoes into the bin! The thought never even occurred to me to "reduce, reuse, recycle" :(

The grey looks better than the red on those shoes me thinks.

I suspect he'll be using it as an excuse to get some new overshoes ...

I also think he can replace the grey one with his old red one with the aid of a small allen key (don't blame me if it all goes horribly wrong mind!). Having said that I agree the grey looks better...;)

Replacing that red yoke doesn't look so straight forward, but you are right, I should get these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/sidi-dragon-3-vernice-mtb-shoes-2012/
