    Hi All,
I received by comp. components for my first build. However one thing bugs me, there is no sata cable came out from motherboard box(Asus M5A97 R2.0)
Do you think did they just forget to include or they dumped me a used asus board ?
    Thanks mill.

Wouldn't say you got second hand board and they left out the cable on purpose BUT of course if they had some customer returned stuff, or damaged package so they had to re-pack the board, I think they would send it to us here in Ireland rather than local German customer who can complain easier.

In all fairness freestyla, they seem to very clearly mark returned and B Grade as as "special" items on the website normally, and specify why it is on special. See here for example "Unique attributes: Gebrauchsspuren(Rückläufer)" = signs of usage (returns). I'd be astonished if they willfully left out a couple of €2 cables hoping nobody notices.

It seems far more probable that it never made it into the packaging at all at the Asus factory, or somebody sent out an incorrect returns package from the HWVS warehouse rather than a new one.

Thanks, I called them they offered replacement. They could not explain why it happened may be warehouse issue. I logged complaint on their website, printed UPS label arranged the collection tomorrow. But the thing with the excitement I had
I already put the AMD CPU and mounted its default heatsink.
As I am the first time builder any suggestion, advise for removing them highly appreciated.

No you are not going to replace the whole thing just because of €2 cable??

Where are you about? I can give you one

Appreciated freestyla for your offer, it is not price or cable, I can grab anywhere as you said. However I am worried that I received used mobo not a brand new one. Although POST went fine, mobo recognised the fx-6300 straight away. Thanks again.
