Ereader app or actual ereader seperate?

I use Aldiko for my tablet. Best Ive used so far... will read almost any format. Can do day/night reading for less bright environments.

Aldiko or go book if you are asking about an app for android.
Sony ereader if you are asking about a device.

I have a Kindle DX but I prefer using my tablet especially for any books that use colour diagrams (using an ereader for technical books).

Another vote for Aldiko. Just picked up the Nexus 7 Mon so this has been the only app I've tried but does everything faultlessly. Lovely book layout also.

I have a kobo touch and I'm quite happy with it. Software is updated frequently with speed improvements. Picked it up in Feb for €130 in WH Smiths in Dublin airport. Kobo have released newer versions so I imagine this is even cheaper now.

    Which kobo?

Also it doesnt run android so it doesnt belong here.

That being said, try re-setting both your wifi and e-reader, check your password (case sensitive) and any settings. Try connecting to other wifi networks to determine if the problem exists on your ereader.

If problem persists, return to shop.
