I want to wear a skirt .

Hi , i am new to boards .ie .
I have always wanted to wear a skirt instead of trousers .
I have some skirts that i wear at home , i have a knee denim skirt , a woolen skirt about knee length and a midi skirt .
I have started going out in my skirts , sometimes i wear one when i am going shopping .
The thing is i would like to wear a skirt all the time .
If any of you could give me some suggestions about this , or if you know where i could buy skirts for myself .

You can buy skirts pretty much everywhere, like Dunnes, Penneys... And since those kind of shops sell both men's and women's clothes, it might be easier for you to look around.

I agree, they also have nickers and tights for you to complete your look.

Thats good , i like skirts like in the link below . The yellow/gold skirt in the link is my favourite .

I do remember, circa '87, getting many comments about my red shoes in Ballina

No , the length looks okay to me and if i buy one i will be wearing it nearly all the time .

Most of the skirts in asos are too small for me , i need skirts with a wider waistband .
Anyone here know where i can get midi skirts with a wider wasitband ?

You can find a size guide on their sites to help you figure out what sizes you need.

I'd agree with Aoifums check the size guide to help you know what suits best. I wear the odd dress or skirt from time to time but as a man we are, of course a different shape so finding what suits best can take a bit of time.

If you're not 100% sure if something will fit you, get out a measuring tape, check your waist/hip size and then google an Irish clothing chart to see what women's size you would be, then shop away.

I don't wear midis personally (I'm too short to get away with anything below the knee!), but that's quite nice.
