Mini Cooper help please

    I have a 2001 Mini Cooper

    I'm having problems with locking and finding a seat

    Firstly I had problem with passenger door locking mechanism. I went and got a working lock out of a car that was been broke. Fitted it and it works perfect only for when you lock car with button on key it locks but it will not open again. It's like the dead lock isn't releasing. The lock worked fine in other car.
    It will not open unless I disconnect wire from it.

    So I am thinkin maybe there items a problem with the central locking unit.

    Has anybody came across this

    Secondly I am looking for a passenger seat for the same car. Mini Cooper is a 2001 chilli pack. Red car with red and half leather interior.

    Having trouble findin this.

    All help appreciated

    Passenger seat and passenger door problems? Was it crashed?

    01 and control module unit problems could suggest that the control module below the A pillar in the driver footwell got wet. ESPECIALLY if a mobile ape squad replaced a windscreen.
    That module was given a cover to stop water ingress from some stage in 02 on I think.

    All the same, have you tried a bit of lube on the various bits, her door handle was very difficult there for the last week.

    Try miniclub.ie, there is a good mechanic on there (based in cork) and you may find a source for a seat.

    No never crashed. Tried all that mate and it still the same.

    You had a look at the body control module? No corrosion or anything?
