    Hi, I have a Browning A-Bolt (Composite Stalker) in a 30.06 cal.
Its a very accurate firearm and very light. The magazine holds 4 rounds and one in the breech. The magazine is detachable from the floorplate and although it makes it secure and less likely to loose, it can also be a bit of a hassle to remove until you have a bit of practice. You can also breech load. Due to the combination of calibre and the fact that that its the Stalker variety (fluted barrel) my only issue is getting it threaded and fitted for a moderator. I believe the factory thread is 14:1 and Browning have a muzzle brake system called BOSS which is designed to improve accuracy by reducing the vibration of the barrel as the bullet travels through it. I'm not sure where one can be sourced in Ireland as I imported mine from the UK.
Either way you can't go wrong and if you can get it for a reasonable price you'll be happy with it. Safe shooting.

I have an A-bolt in .243. Fine rifle for me, I have shot a lot of stuff with it in the last few years and its always been good.
I find it a good positive action and accurate enough for my needs.
