    Hitler or Pol Pot?

Why is it a choice between those two?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,879 ✭✭✭D3PO

    whoever you want.

seriously why would you follow somebody because some random person on an internet forum told you to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 128 ✭✭farranreeboy

Because i've narrowed it down to these 2

What's your reason for narrowing it down to those two?

If you have narrowed it down that far then I'm sure you can narrow it down to one.

I'm a Patriots fan for a long time so I'd be biased. Welcome to the forum.

Ok serious question why these two teams :D

Ah fair enough, I really couldn't advise you. I guess the Pats play a more impressive style so I'd go with them, but I would be interested in how you managed to boil it down to those two teams.

It doesn't matter why he picked those two. Following a sports team isn't a logical exercise.

Pats. We don't have Jerry Jones.

Isn't that a contradiction to what you just posted?

Pats and Cowboys, probably the two most hated fanbases in the league. You know how to pick 'um!!

Nah thought about that before I posted. I've never met Jerry Jones so my dislike isn't really about logic.

It was more of a joke anyway, was hoping somebody would pick up on the irony.

If you prefer warmer weather the Patriots aren't for you as once December and January rolls around its cold.

I just know you support the Yankees and Miami Heat

Problem with the Pats is Brady is in his mid-30s. He's still an absolute boss, but for how long? You'll always regret having missed the glory years. I'd advise you to go for a rebuilding team, or one about to... Romo will be gone soon, and Dallas will have a new coach. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd suggest Dallas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    Baltimore Ravens.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,615 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

    Choose it via politics maybe.

New England = Democrats (i.e. Obama, Clinton people).
Dallas = Republicans (i.e. Romney, Bush, Reagan people)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,299 ✭✭✭spiralism

Denver Broncos. We got it all, past, present and future.

Never mind the other two, supporting Dallas since the mid 90s has become an exercise in extreme masochism and there's more than enough Pats fans about imo

Real answer is that i think you know yourself, you don't need us to tell you. Team picks you and all that.

Packers. We got history and we're fan owned unlike the rest of the teams. think it's like 85% of the hometown can fit into lambeau

I'd say the Patriots, they're the only team you mention that aren't the cowboys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,012 ✭✭✭BizzyC

    Patriots

But I'd be more interested in how you came to consider the Cowboys...

A lot of people will pickthe Pats based on recent dominance, but the Cowboys have been under performing for a good while with very little to be excited about.

If you dont want to be labelled a glory chaser, I'd go for an upcoming team with some buzz about them.
    Someone like the Redskins perhaps?

Chargers, go to a game, you'll have the stadium to yourself.

Niners. Going all the way this year. Super Bowl for San Fran to go alongside their current Baseball world series. (Down side for Irish fans - Pacific Time is a balls!!)

the teams, everyone supports all the cheerleaders, it be rude not to.

Colts. You'll have missed the misery of Curtis Painter. You can still see the legend that is Manning and actually enjoy watching him because the Colts themselves have a massive star in the making in Andrew Luck. Will be exciting to see them really improve over the next few seasons.

If he is torn between the Cowboys and the Pats, think he might value big time glamour and (admittedly great) cheerleading outfits over that whole history and tradition and small town community owned thing. I'm not sure he's our type of fan...;)

Ah you're not one of THOSE lads are you? We really hate people who have a problem with the 1st person plural.

But seriously OP, don't support the Packers, a bandwagon like the Pats is bad enough, but the Pack couple it with such fart-sniffing self-regard, you wouldn't be able to live with yourself.

    :D

People who whine about using the supporter's "we" is my pet hate. Does my head in.

How about teams with a high level offensive

Raiders is the team for you ;)

I presume he meant teams with a high level of offense, not teams that are highly offensive. A crucial difference.

Never been, but A freezing cold Gillette Stadium feels tougher, more like Gridiron should be.

By contrast when your watching the Cowboys. the side-line cameras have large leather armchairs in the background for the corporate crowd.

Of the two, I'd go for the Patriots.

PS (You should still pick the Packers, as mentioned Green Bay have a terrific past, present & future & it's a terrific organization.

accordingly we Packer fans are quite smug with ourselves! )

    Don't be a Bucs fan.

Its like being a Browns fan, except you start the year with great expectations of making that next step.

Everything goes well for the first few games of the season, but before you know it the team loses about 10 in a row and you end up with nothing to show for the season and only a middle of the road draft pick.

And then you start again the next year :(

You're a defence away from making it. Freeman is good enough, i'd liken him to Philip Rivers. Turns it over a bit but if the right game plan is in place (i.e. good run game and tall downfield threats) he can be very successful. Replace sheridan with someone good and get in some defensive talent and that's an 11 win team right there.

I'm in a similar position as the OP, while I have watched some American Football, this season is the first I have watched a lot of it(gotta love redzone).

While I dont have any affiliation to any team, I would definatley lean towards the Colts or the Seahawks. Gotta pick one if I keep watching it!

Two interesting choices indeed. All i'd say is keep watching and the team will pick you but this board could do with a Seahawks regular!

Then please for the love of god pick the colts. Very hard not to like the colts after the season they've had, but just in general seem like a well run franchise. Both are teams with a bright future tbf, but hard to warm to a coach like carroll

You might want to actually look up some things about Pete Carroll before you decide you can't warm to him.

You can't get more historic then the Cleveland Browns and things are looking up right now.

If you get in now then nobody will call you a bandwagoner

If they can get a top cornerback in the draft and a defensive end, a starting linebacker and an offensive guard then I think you've an 8-8 team which is progress.

Trent Richardson is a beast and they've some exciting young wide receivers

And you get to be part of the dawg pound
Silver-Tiger is the only other Browns fan on boards, join him!
