The last time I was on a motorbike I came off the back of it and it landed on top of me.

That was about 11 years ago, haven't been on once since!!!

Had a speedo needle dancing between 160 and 165mph on a GSXR 750 SRAD back in 1997. I was a silly bugger then although I'll decline to mention where it was done.
I was on the back of the buddies ZX9R one day when he decided it would be a bit of a laugh to break 150. I thought I'd need a new pair of boxers after that one.
Don't drive any more as even in my late 30's I was still trying to get the knee down on roundabouts. Weird thing is that when I'm driving the car I'm your average 40mph snook. Put me on a bike and it awakens my stupider side.:o

A gas gas, although I didn't really do any speed on it as it took off without me. It went flying off down the field on it's own and I was left standing there in a riding a bike pose.

After you crash into something at high speed and you + the bike going flying through the air.

They go waay fastera if you take off all the passengers. Was it a double or a single decker?
GSXR at about 140, but went to Czech and a mate(a czechmate) collected me on a 1200 bmw from the airport and decided to test it out on the way home. Hmm. Not sure if it was the luggage or the nutty czech drivers or the him not being that good on it but 120 felt plenty quick enough to me.

single seater (or monoposto :D as they say in idaly/not japan)....don't think it was the standard tailpiece either

ah yeah its faster...but I suppose i just didn't like it that much.........I like the sound of my own more and it just feels faster to accelerate/lighter (even though it probably doesn't accelerate faster - never bothered looking it up)...it is defintely more nimble etc and not as much of a whale

The fastest bike I've rode would probably be the pan European 1100.

Although the fastest I've actually gone is on my own cbr250rr at about 100mph.

I had a "spin" on my friends Hyabusa. It is the most scary machine i have ever ridden. The acceleration is frightening, I was only using 3/4 throttle and had to use all my might to stop the front wheel from lifting, I didn't dare open it up fully. I backed off when the click was reading 140mph after literally 6 or 7 seconds!

Had the 1996 Gixr 1100R, handled like a straight line torpedo on the motorways but useless on the backroads.

mine was 2005 GSXR 1000(mates bike) , i was pushing 163 and i was bouncing it off the limiter in 4th gear ( i think) plenty more left in it but i was wearing tracksuit and also running out of road .

    another friend has 2002 GSXR 1000 , the 2005 is a better handling bike , it's more like a 600 than the 2002 model .

i also drove a 1996 GSXR 1100F and that pulled like a train in a straight line but corners were to say the least INTERESTING :D

I was on the back of a family friends FJ1200 at 120mph in 1999. He said he'd been over 140 on it but 120 was enough for me. Put me off bikes for life.

I went straight from the 1100R to an RRV Blade which was a dream to handle compared to it. Did the Isle of Man 2002 on it.

Next bike was a downgrade to a J series oil cooled GSXR 750 and then an L which I have still got, a pig on the neck muscles after a long blip. Generally I have slowed down a lot and that can be seen in my points. Down to just 2 now from a peak of 6 in the first two years that they came out. :p

I rode on the back of a Harley Davidson when I was a kid, no idea how fast it was going though. At the time it felt like the speed of light

About 103 mph indicated on a Honda CX 500 in 1980 coming into Maynooth from the west. It didn't have a fairing (got one later) but had a tankbag and rucksack on the pillion seat that made it slightly more aero. In those days the roads were one lane each way.
