    Hi all,

I've an 11 week old girl and I think she needs to start interacting with other babies, would also do me good!

So does anybody know of any mother&baby groups in either swords or santry?

Cuidiu have groups all over the country that are open to all parents, and Friends of Breastfeeding have lovely breastfeeding specific mum to mum support groups.

Also a list of branches in Dublin, Ulster, Muster and Connacht listed on their website.

    Hi,

Did you find any groups in the swords area that you would recommend? Our little one is 4.5 months.

I'd also be interested if there are any groups meeting in Swords - my daughter is 20 weeks.

I found a Claphandies Playgroup, but due to lack of people attending it was cancelled! I joined the Claphandies group in Malahide instead. My little girl loves it and its great chatting to other mums too!

Jo Jingles is great. Not sure if the group in Swords still exists but there is one in Rush and Skerries that are definitely worth driving out for. http://www.jojingles.com/

hey Noticed an older post which got a few replies but nothing definite. just wondering weather anyone had any updates for groups in swords. I know there is a breast feeding support group in Applewood community centre but I was hoping to find something to stimulate my 8 month old tiny shifter. He is so active that I think I need to find something to do with dance music gymnastics anything to save tugging on the wires.

    Hi,

There is a mumba dance group in swords on two days a week I think- haven't been myself but meant to be good.

How about clap handies or Jo jingles or Gymboree? They are all music based but should grab his attention for a while.

Let me know how you get on, we're not far away and babas similar ages!

Hey Nicky thanks for the information and the support. Looked up Mumba Dance and it looks like a lot of fun. the best part is its the cheapest of all and right down 'Mister Active's' avenue. I think I will give it a go...... will be going next week Thursday for our first taster session fancy meeting up?

I think Clap handies and Jo Jingles will be quite docile for my little guy. He might not be too keen on the music theme or the sitting down....

    Gymboree is great but expensive.

Fantastic news thanks for the information and just in time!

Hey there I was advised to try out Mumba dance from this thread and I just wanted to pass it on...... I did it and it was great. thanks Nicky for the heads up. I know you cannot make it on a Thursday but they also have a class on Saturday for working mums.....Its a life saver my little guy was so in his element as well as tired after it. His sleep is so much better and I am definitely better for it.
If there are any sleep deprived mums out there come and learn the magic of getting your little one mentally stimulated, physically challenged and eventually sound asleep. It works!
