I hope mod doesnt mind me starting a new link to do so. Take a look at the cassette unit , if the number 18404 is marked on the front then the tuner module is faulty and needs…

Take a look at the cassette unit , if the number 18404 is marked on the front then the tuner module is faulty and needs to be replaced. The reception fault is a very common fault in this model radio and I have repaired many of them.

The topic was from 2010 and he sorted it by replacing the unit.

The reason it was closed is someone dug it up after 2.5 years to comment without actually reading the thread or noticing how old it was.

Almost like they searched for the topic just so they could post on it.

That's why we close them, a lot of people don't see the date then get frustrated when they realise its an ancient topic.
