I just got a new 46" Samsung HDTV (A slight step up from my 15 year old sony CRT). Anyway when I'm playing MarioKart there are times when it can become quite laggy, just for short periods of time, but it is very noticeable.

I have just ordered composite cables for it, but from what i have read this will only improve the quality, not the lag.

Has anyone had similar problems and know how to fix it? I'm pretty sure there's no 'game mode' as such on the TV like in some other TV's. Its a samsung series 8 if that helps.
