    Folks,

Can anyone put an idea of date in this?looks like a washing jug and basin. Style and design is very very simple and there's no mark on it whatsoever so it's difficult to figure out. Pink band with a gold trim either side of it. Just found it,hence the grubbiness

    Thanks

    In google searching images..

I typed: antique ironstone jug wash basin white pink

I'm pretty sure the second pic is same as yours, another one quite similar.

    Both priced approx $us 95

Probably a few hundred factories producing wares like this.

Very hard to pin down with out any mark. I would think it is more of an earthenware rather than ironstone.

A bedroom piece, would be sitting on a stand like this Thumbnail_300x300.png
We have it easy with our electric showers etc. !

Thanks folks. The more I examine it,the more I notice how crude the design work is on it - the lines aren't straight, the pink band runs offline every so often. The no mark is really puzzling,I'm almost thinking that it could have been a reject or something that wasn't sold but could have been given away for free or sold as a reject. Not sure if it happened in those days or if this was an expensive item back then. A date would be my next task.
