I bought an Alba Saorview box from Argos, it works great. In the settings menu there is an option to turn active antenna on/off. Does anyone know what it means and what difference it makes to turn the option on or off. Thanks.

Active antenna on will provide a power supply (usually 5 volts) from the aerial input. This will be enough to power the amplifier in indoor 'set-top' type aerials & some masthead or distribution amps. used with outdoor aerials.

There's no point having it switched on, unless for this purpose.
