    Hi all,
I am travelling to Thailand next month for 2 weeks. I am flying:

Dub (Aer Lingus) > London (Malaysia Airways) > Kuala Lumpar (Bangkok Airlines) > Ko Samui.

My Return journey is the above in reverse, except with BA instead of EI back to Dublin.

I have never done a multi trip travel before, so I am wondering if anyone can give me any pointers. Can I check my baggage in from the start and let it go on its merry way? Do I have to re-do security passes in each airport or is there a "connecting flight" section that skips me through all that (I wont have my boarding passes, so need to check in). Is there a seperate procedure to get my boardings passes for each journey?

    Thanks

You'll be able to book your bags dublin to KL, not sure about KL to Samui with BK airlines all depends if there code share, the counter staff at check in at dublin airport will be able to tell you, you'll get your boarding cards all the way to KL and maybe samui(if code share), once in Heathrow of the dublin flight head to T4 and just go to security and try and relax in the departure hall, in KL you'll be in transit so need to go out of the airport(unless you have to collect your bags again you'll find that out in dublin).
Hope this helps and you can understand it, ask the counter staff at dublin to give you a window seat on Malaysian if she can.....

Thanks for that. Just checked there and Bangkok Air and Malaysian Air code share so that should be no problem! I'm just nervous about losing bags!

KLIA is a very relaxed and pleasant airport to transit through.

+1 for KLIA - its a great airport. And so easy to transfer through ...

Think I mentioned before in this forum about having to pick up boarding cards for Malaysia Airlines when I reached Frankfurt. That was in 2006. Could well have changed since then, so you should be able to pick up your boarding cards as far as KL at least !
