Was released on video tape only and apparently the print quality on that is awful, as its only a TV movie from the 80s probably not a huge demand for a DVD release or it would have happened, I'd say about 70 or 80% of TV movies from the 70s and 80's never got a dvd release.

Maybe it will show up on Netflix US sometime, they have a load of awful ropey TV movies from the 80s on there so you never know something reportedly decent like this might appear.

Yeah, I think most of them were edited on video and releasing them on DVD would mean going back to the original elements (assuming they weren't destroyed).

Also, I could be wrong but I've never heard of a 70s or 80s TV movie apart from "The Day After" from 1983 (which had 100 million viewers and it was given a cinema release in widescreen in some European Countries) getting remastered and released on DVD, I'd say at the time it was a quick telecine and edit on tape for most of them, original film elements were probably binned, even if some were cut on film the negs and positives most probably don't exist now.

would it be worth sending an email to TnaG and asking them to show it. they usually show westerns on friday nights. it has been shown on american television so surely it could be aired here if a station is willing

It has been shown on True Movies 2 in the past so keep an eye out for it on there.
