    Hey All

Am looking for sugar syrup for a cocktail. I know I can make it myself (and I have) but this is part of a cocktail gift basket im making as a Christmas present. Hoping to pick it up in Dublin city or Drogheda, if anyone can point me in the right direction!

I've never been able to find it in a bricks and mortar shop myself.
The Drinkstore have it online if that's any good to you.

Celtic Whiskey Shop sell it, as should any off license with a decent cocktail ingredients section.

Likewise, anyone know where I can pick up some Angostura bitters?

I got small bottles of Monin Sugar syrup and grenadine in Sainsbury's in Newry. Also got a small bottle of angostura bitters there.

Just make it for feck's sake, takes five minutes. 1 part hot water to 1 part sugar, mix till clear, let cool. Simplicity itself.

OP said they need it for a gift basket they are making otherwise they would make it themselves.

DrinkStore. I'd say most good off licences would have it. In Bray, try Holland's.

You could get a nice glass bottle and make it yourself if you can't find anything that looks nice.

If I was on the receiving end of that basket I would have preferred if the money went on something else.

    Thanks All.

Went with drinkstore.ie so thanks to 54kroc!

Also, keano_afc, I got some Angostura bitters in the Celtic Whiskey Shop on Dawson Street (they didnt have any syrup when I went in!) but drinkstore also have it- could have saved myself a trip and bought both online!

Now, once the syrup is gone, it'll be homemade all the way!
