I read a line somewhere today that the pension levy ends at end of 2013 ? Could not find any more detail on it . Was this announced in Budget ?

Will be taken on the 30th June 2013 and 2014 as per what was originally announced. They say it wont be extended but its an easy few hundred million so we'll see about that

From what I recall the levy on private sector pensions was meant to be temporary and nobody has said it will be extended. I would expect it to be lifted in accordance with the original deduction.

However, the pay related pension deduction (known as the pension levy in the public sector) is unlikely to change.
