I am a single mother with a young son. I think I'm attractive enough & have a good personality and seem to get plenty of attention from men. I've been single for 6 months and have gone on a couple of dates with 4 guys in the past two months but it just hasn't clicked with any of them so I decided not to take things any further.

I have another date this sat and I'm kind of just thinking of cancelling. I mean it just seems so much hassle when nothing ever comes of it.

On the one hand I don't want to be single forever and I've always been of the opinion that you should give things a fair chance so if I think someone is nice I usually agree to a date or two to get to know them and then on the other I'm just a bit sick of putting in the effort of getting babysitters etc.

Anyone ever felt like this before?

Don't be disheartened by the dating scene.
You haven't been single for that long, so maybe there is a bit of you that isn't ready for getting into a relationship.

Hey, I think everyone feels like that when they're having dates and not clicking - look at the Online Dating thread for evidence!

But don't get disheartened. Yes, it's relatively rare to meet someone you have a really strong connection with but it does happen all the time. Try just to enjoy it along the way and think of any romantic success as a cherry on top.
