    Hi

I recently purchased the car above. the question is that there is no cover over the engine to say what type of engine it is, eg it is like the bonnet was opened and the cover was taken off in order to service the car but forgot to put the cover back on after service, thats my take on it... however some people think that there is no cover to go back on.... I am confused....
I can put up a picture if needed.... other ford cars (not identical to this one) has this cover in place....

    A picture might help.

The engine details will be on your VLC and can also be decoded from the VIN plate.

Very common for these to be taken off when the car is being serviced and not put back on. From memory the cover just says Ford TDCi and has no engine size designation, you could probably get one from a scrap yard or price a new one from a Ford dealer.

It's just for asthethics really and possibly some added soundproofing.
