Getting a Nikon DSLR cleaned

I have a Nikon digital SLR and no matter what lens I put on it, small dots show up in all pics I take. I reckon there must be dirt in the aperture or something. I've tried a brush and it hasn't dislodged it. Is there somewhere I can take the camera to have it cleaned? (I want to give it to a young would-be photographer for Xmas). I should add, I'm in the Dublin area.

DML in around JFK industrial estate.
free dry clean, or €25 (?) for wet clean.

I'm in the North inner city. I could get out to the Naas Road on the luas, but town would be handier if there is anywhere.

there is, but be prepared to pay €50-100. dml is the cheapest anywhere in the county, and possibly the country!

At half the price of the competition, are they decent? Do they do a thorough job, like?
I don't mind two luas trips out if they're going to do the job, but I'd pay the extra in town if it meant being sure the camera was sorted.

you can buy the gear and do it yourself also.
i wouldn't pay €100 when i can get it done for €25. it's all the same methods. fluid & swab! or if it's a dry clean, DML use an arctic butterfly, and you can look into a loupe yourself to see. dry cleans are free.

Is it that simple with DML? I'm out that side of town and I really need my D70s cleaned. Am I expected to buy something or can I just show up and ask for my free dry clean?

It's just one of those things that sounds too good to be true... :)

The most important thing to remember is to have your battery fully charged before attempting to clean your sensor. You don't want the mirror to close on the cleaning swab!!!!!!

i went in to get my D80 cleaned before putting it up for sale. i asked for a wet clean. he said it only needed a dry clean. i asked how much i owed, and he said nothing! had a chat with him for about 20 minutes, had a look around the shop at all the gear and was on my way! very nice gentleman.

Got my free dry clean. Well pleased. Nice place. Lots of very nice kit. And a seminar room that doubles as a studio available to hire. Well worth the visit.

BTW the 151 bus is a much better option than the luas. It drops you around the corner at the entrance to Park West.
