Hi, Would anyone here who uses the Garryduff woods for MTBing tell me do i follow a cycle path if i cycle by pairce caoimh. I've never been there but would like to try it out. Is the entrance to the woods near the Garryduff sports centre?
    Thanks.

Far as I know it's gone. There was a load of tree felling happened there few months back.

You head out the path to Rochestown house and turn off the main road heading up the hill. The entrance on your right a mile up the road maybe.

That's a pity if its gone, i have'nt been there before but from what i read it looked ideal for a handy spin from the city. I have been in Tracton and Curragh woods which are good too. If anyone else knows if its gone or not, maybe you could post here.Thanks.

I'm not a mountain bike man, but i work out in passage direction and often see some cars parked at the gates.

I've never been up there myself but here's a Strava trace from a recent MTB excursion there by one of my clubmates. As you can see, he started from the main road right outside the Garryduff Sports Centre. The easiest way to get there from the Rochestown Road is to head up Clarke's Hill if coming from Douglas direction, or head up Coach Hill if you're coming from Rochestown/Passage direction.

If you mean the old railway line that starts a bit after Páirc Uí Chaoimh, then yes. It's at the very end of it (continue on the road starting at the Rochestown Inn).
