new laptop

Hi I need some help,I am buying a laptop in the coming days as a present and have a budget of €450 but I haven't got much of a clue what to look for.It will be used for browsing ,downloading/watching films and streaming matches.It wont be used for gaming.15" screen would do but dont want anything smaller and want a HDMI port.

any help/advice would be great as I am a complete newb.

did you get your laptop? I am looking to get one aswel for a present,havent a clue what to go for either

I'm in the same boat for pretty much the same specifications. Any help would be greatly appreciaed

Anyone get anything yet. I'm pretty much in the same boat, looking for laptop for home use - pretty much the same as above really and maybe a couple of school projects etc....(....said she hopefully!!)

For downloading movies and storing you'd need a decent hard drive
