    Hi folks,

I'm looking for some advice on Madonna di Campiglio.

Looking at a DIY flying to Bergamo/Verona and either transfer or rental car (bit risky?).
Also any recommendations on general cost of staying/eating/drinking for the week.

    Any other do's don'ts?

    Thanks
    Willy

Madonna is amazing can be a bit spread out if you stay at the wrong end. Great quality hotels and about mid range Italian/Austrian Prices.

Some seriously great off piste skiing and the piste will be deserted.

Madonna di Campiglio is a great place for skiing. Different kinds of slopes, gorgeous landscapes, 4 ski-areas well connected, and you are also connected to Folgarida and Marilleva: you have lots of slopes and you'll never get bored, changing ski area every day.
You can also get useful infos on www.campiglio.it
For a drink, I suggest 'La Stube di Franz Josef' (german-style brewery, good beer), or 'La cantina del Suisse' (more elegant and 'chic'), or La Zangola and Apres ski Ober One (these are more 'treny', young people, disco music...).
    Ciao!
    enjoy Campiglio

    Cheers guys, much appreciated.

Is it ok to drive to?
I have friends to drove to a nearby resort and ski into the valley/bowl. Not sure how easy/dangerous it is to drive all the way.

Shuttle servers are not cheap :(

no problems usually in driving to Campiglio. drive the highway to Brennero, take the exit 'Trento' and head to Campiglio.

Try stay the the west of the Valley the eats end is in shadow allot and further form the lifts.

Like most Alpine resorts driving is dependent on the weather. But as a rule it is easy enough to get to.

Heading on Saturday. Nice top up of fresh snow this week.

Any other last minute tips or advice appreciated.

PS for anyone thinking of heading there, some weeks your hotel can include the ski pass. We missed out by a week :(
