    Hi,

    I am in receipt of Jobseekers allowance at the full weekly rate. I am single and live alone and get the full allowance of €188.

    Recently my Mother died and her house will be sold. I will be in line to receive a once off gift (won't be a huge amount!). What are the implications or how will this affect my JA as it is a means tested benefit? How much can I receive without affecting my weekly payment?

    It will be used to clear my debts.
