Do I have to do 12 lessons?

    So, here's my dilemma, and Iv'e gotten different answers from everyone I've asked:
    I did the theory test before that date when it came in that you had to do 12 lessons to get your full license.
    But, I was only 16 at the time so I got a tractor license.
    So when I turned 17 I just upgraded this to a provisional license.
    So, do I need to do the 12 lessons to get my full, or am I okay because I did the theory before the date?
    I have a feeling I have to do them even though I've been told different. :/

    EDT is not required if your first learner permit was issued before 4 April 2011. All other learner drivers must complete EDT before taking their driving test.

    Would that tractor license by considered my first learner permit then?
    Or is that just the provisional?

    Because your first 'B' category was issued after april 2011 then you will have to do the 12 lessons.

    Not [really] slagging off the OP but...

    Is it just me, or are the people who ask "argh, do I really need to do 12 lessons" often the people who need lessons more than anyone :)

    I'm able to drive.
    Of course I could benefit from a few lessons, and I would prob get a few even if I didn't have to, but 12 is a ridiculous, unnecessary amount. It's all about the money.
    Thanks for the advice though, I may as well book my lessons now and get them over with!

    Do you have your provisional license now? The old green one same as ya had with the tractor or do you have a learning permit?
