There's no rule, be yourself and enjoy the date.

If she is asking to meet you that's a good thing. Just go for it.

Since she's suggested the meetup in town, why not suggest somewhere to go? A café, somewhere to eat, the cinema, anything. Don't feel under too much pressure; if she's asked you along she clearly wants to hang out with you!
    Good luck. :)

Well I wouldn't advise the cinema, as you can't talk to them then and your sitting there not watching the film but thinking in your head if you should be doing something.

Seeing as it is coming up to Christmas, ice skating is always a good one and I enjoy bowling myself :)

Also don't be thinking that she could be a potential girlfriend, just enjoy yourself and see where it goes from there :)

Go for it. Its ten times worse to regret not doing something than doing something. Plus she seems to really like you so go and enjoy
