Has anyone who drives a pre 2002 Volkswagen/Seat/Audi/Skoda Tdi experienced an occasional stalling issue?

The answer to your problem is a cheap and easy fix. Apparently the power-up relay Number 109 on the pre 2002 models had weak internal contacts that eventually caused problems as the cars aged...VAG group has quietly come up with a solution, in an uprated relay that resolves the problem totally..

The new relay is grey in colour, and may need to be fitted upsidedown..

The older defective part 109 relays are black in colour..and are located behind the panel in the drivers footwell...:D
