    Hi all,

I'm strongly thinking of giving this tour a go in another 6 months or so and was wondering if anyone has any experience of doing it?

My main concern is my fitness. I'm relatively active, play sports a couple of times a week, but I'm a smoker and havent much experience hiking to be honest! I'd love to give this a go as I'm adventurous but I want to be sure this won't be beyond me!

Also, is there rock climbing involved or is it just steep walking? How difficult does it get? I'd be fine so long as I feel safe... I wouldn't fancy hanging from rocks in a harness!! Anyways, the tour is with g adventures- link below.

I'd really appreciate peoples thoughts and opinions so thanks in advance! :)

    Hi there.

I've just done this approx 2 weeks ago.

It was an amazing experience, but tough at times.
Anyone (reasonably fit) can do it. I seen people as young as 18 and old as 65 doing it. Sure fitter people go up it really fast but there's no point, there's only so much climbing you can do before you break the acclimatization rules so just take it slowly.
Most people do it in a group with a guide and porters, I met 2 guys in a hostel and we done our own thing, no need for a guide during the busy season, a porter would have been handy as the bag got heavy after a few days!

I can tell you all you need to bring, what not to bring, how much, etc.

Oh and that link isn't working for me, I'm in India, some websites don't work.
I'm guessing it's for a tour company. How much is it? Probably cheaper to get a tour company in Kathmandu.
