JA and Part Time Work

    Hi everyone,

I made my claim for JA during August. My decision only came through yesterday (Limerick City Branch). I began part time work last month. I have received two forms which tell me my means for both the period between August and when I began work and since I began work. Today I received my first cheque for the week 21-27th November.

I just have a few questions which hopefully some of ye can answer.

    1) Is bringing in my dockets (the ones which indicate what days I am working) the equivalent of signing on every month?

    2) Will I get payment for the time since I began my claim (August) to the time of my first cheque (21-27th November).

    3) Do I bring the cheque to my local post office or to the local BOI (it is a BOI cheque)

    4) Anything else I need to know?

Sorry if these questions seem a bit stupid, I have received little to no information from the social welfare office.

    Regards

    LD

For the first one, the yellow dockets do act as your signing for the month

For the second, you should get back paid from your first sign on in august

For the third one, you can get your money from the post office and I think you can get it from the bank as well
