Getting married next year and basically Im happy with everywhere else except my arms, cant seem to shed the weight off them, everywhere else it seems to be coming off. I wouldnt mind but the arms are the most exposed area!!

Looking for some serious exercises to lose fat and tone up arms...... any hints or tips greatly appreciated!

    Hi Elhal,

I'm assuming you can complete all your exercises with ease using the 5kgs? If so you need to use a heavier weight and work the muscles to fatique. That way it helps with toning your arms. Do you owe heavier weights?

Keep up the weights, but I found boxing or a box fit class super for toning arms. Push UPS too. Even on your knees, push ups with the correct form do wonders!

Once I find the weights too light I do up the weight or if i cant up the weight ill up the reps...... so Ill do say 15 instead of 12 reps etc etc...

Ya push ups is something I havent really tried and boxing i hadnt thought of!! must give that a try then Thanks for the tips!

You just need to work your arms harder than you are. 5kg does not seem heavy enough. But diet does go hand in hand with this. I dont know if you still need to lose weight overall, but you can't target one area.

I do up the weights where i can for different types of exercises..... I do still need to lose weight over all but the inches are coming down everywhere else except my arms... grrrrrr. do loadsa cardio too and watching diet. Will try the boxing and uppin weights some more. I wont end up just with big muscle arms then tho will I?? :-)

No you won't. I regularly work with much heavier weights (12 - 16 kg single arm, heavier for other stuff) and I have slim arms. My body fat would be low tho.

Ok thats good to hear!! So should the weight fatigue my arms after say 10 reps??

In my case it usually would but depends on the exercise. I'd do pushups to failure usually. And you need to warm up properly and know correct form when going heavier.
