I'll be in work unfortunately. It seems like a strange time of the day to organise it. I wonder if it will get much coverage?

RTE initially said that only 1000 showed up then at 9 0 clock on tv said ''several thousand'' but the actual number was estimated at a whopping 10,000.

Well done. Caused a significant delay to an ambulance in traffic at 5.30. Hope you are proud

I had wondered if the turnout would be poor - partly because of the really inconvenient start time of 4.30pm. Most of the crowd seemed to be in Molesworth Street. I was in a group of about 1000 that overflowed into Kildare Street.

I was quite suprised at how young the age profile was. The section of the crowd where I was seemed to be composed more of 20-somethings than any other age group. Made me feel quite old.

I was in this crowd behind the big tv screen. I think its great to see the young out there haha, I'm sure you blended in nicely PDN ;-)

I thought the crowd on Kidare Street was the extent of it - with them facing the podium on Molesworth St. Just after seeing the utoob vid and realise now why the roar was as loud as it was.

There's something powerful about the sound of a crowd at one isn't there? If the context were different (Egypt for instance) it'd be a frightening prospect to have to face.
