Hey, I want to buy a Macbook Pro for recording, editing and mixing music. Also for editing videos and pictures actually.

    I'm trying to decide between a 13 inch 2.9GHz or a 15 inch 2.6GHz Macbook Pro.

I'll add on a TB of space to the one I get either way. So would the 15 inch be better in general, or is the big screen the only advantage?

    Here's the specs of each:

    13 inch- 2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i7
    Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    750GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
    Built-in battery (7 hours)2

    15 inch- 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
    Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    750GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory
    Built-in battery (7 hours)2

Except I'll be changing the memory to 1TB.

Thanks, and apologies if I've left out anything.

The 15" has a dedicated GPU while the 13" does not. The 13" only has a dual-core i7 while the 15" has the quad-core. Much faster for editing.

    Get the 15" :D

    Brilliant! Thanks MiniNukinfuts!

I'm both indecisive and terrible with computers, so thank you very much :)

You think it is without a doubt way better?

Most definitely, my friend and I had the same argument. He thought the 13" was better than the 15". I convinced him to get the 15" and he's been happy ever since.
