Links don't direct to a car.

Alfa. The Golf is a joke at that price.

I agree the Alfa just seems to look the nicest and its unusual. It is nice inside too. I'm not a big Alfa fan but you can't deny that that's not a serious amount of car for the money. The golf is just not worth that money.

Defo not the Golf after seeing it, unless he really loves the kit which makes it hard to swing towards either the 159 or the Saab.

159 is a nicer looking car than the Saab but the Saab's seats are very nice, don't really like the more sedate drive off a 9-3 compared to the much sharper 159. Saab might be more comfy but is that a huge plus?

I'd go 159 to be honest, the Saab is 8 in a month :)

It's neck and neck between the Saab and the Alfa for me but the Saab shades it for the better spec and the rarity value. Both nice motors though. I'm a big Golf fan but that's just all wrong. Even a nice original Golf would not be up to the other two. I'd be checking service historys on all of them though.

I'd agree but having had alacantra and now Napa leather. Leather is neither here nor there.

Alfa is gorgeous, but the interior is incredibly dark and depressing - so I'd take the Saab. Same engine, better seats and I've always liked Saab interiors for some reason (it's probably the 9-5 cupholders).

Love cup holders although never mad on the flat console in the Saab.

Me too that 159 is a Tourismo, so no leather, no blue & me, no cruise, i dont like those wheels, and its silver:p

Reflected in the price I suppose. Not many 159 for sale here hard to get sports.

None of the above The Saab

The 159 all the way although it wouldn't be my favourite colour for it. I'd feel embarrassed driving around pretending to have an R32. Taking the badges off would be just pretending you have a debadged R32. Alfa GT worth considering also if he doesn't need the back room.

For me it's between to Sabb and Alfa and this occasion the Saab wins. Waaay better spec and engine, the 159 has the 8v 120bhp engine which is just too underpowered for the car.

    btw I have a 09 159.

If the ad is true its a jtdM which is the 16v, I have no idea if it was available in 06 tho.

The pic shows 8V on the engine. So its the 120Bhp. Ive heard thats a more reliable unit than the 16V as the 16 has EGR issues injector and turbo issues and a poorer MPG rating.

Now that might be wrong but its what ive been told ?

A remap and it will up around 150bhp without the issues of the 16v version.

I had 2 JTDm's in GT's for 5 years and only had an issue with 1 EGR valve, which I replaced in 30 minutes at a cost of €90
