Really enjoyed this episode. It was probably the best one yet this season.

I'm glad they've started to delve into Dexter's past again. The La Guerta storyline should really heat up next week. I'm glad the Phantom storyline didn't drag out too long.

The series feels too disjointed for me. Storylines are opening and closing too fast for me. For example the father being introduced, and killed in the same episode.

There is some good stuff still there, but I just feel they are trying to kill time before the last series.

I quite liked it. I liked watching Dexter coming to the realisation that he likes killing, rather than that he 'needs' to. Thought for a moment it was going to go the other way with Dexter feeling remorse and giving up killing just before the net closes in on him.

I do enjoy the episodes. I like that dexter is realising that he enjoys killing. But I still find it crap that everything is so easy for him. I know la guerta is catching up with him and that's good. I just wish he had to put a bit more effort in.
The episodes would be better if there was more detail to the storylines. Not just "oh here's a killer. Oh now he's dead".

THen you'd know the killer and it would take the mystery out of it. Also, I for one don't want them going into huge details for characters like that when there's already 5 or 6 different stories going on.

    Good episode.

Not sure I'm convinced about the 'likes to kill' thing. It was conveyed way earlier the series how he needs to kill in order to retain control of his thoughts and his general flow.

Could this be the beginning of the end of Dexter now that he has abandoned the code and the Dark Passenger?

The arsonist arc ran way too quickly for me. They could have at least fleshed that out a couple more episodes.

Will be interesting to see the direction next week takes.

Good episode, enjoyed it - was glad the fire inspector didn't turn out to be the arsonist, was too obvious .

"It's Bobby" - and next minute Bobby Singer is knocking on Dexter's window.

How is Quinn going to explain Nadia's fingerprints all over her boss's gun? Or did she just pull his finger on the trigger?
Seemed to take Batista forever to get in there, lucky it wasn't an emergency!

And how did Deb know the tip came from Dexter? Something about the position of the protective suit seemed to trigger a reaction.

I'm liking the way they are setting this house of cards. It's all ready to come down. Now that they are on to him it should be pretty easy to tail him for a while and catch him red handed, I'm sure La Guerta can pull some strings to have him followed.

Poor enough episode I thought. What's the story with introducing a new serial killer for just two/ three episodes? Was the phantoms only role to make Dexter see that his "dark passenger" is actually himself and he's not going to follow the code anymore?

I also found it a bit strange that considering how big a case the Bay Harbour Butcher was, they wouldn't have asked the owner of the cabin who was renting it at the time? So LaGuerta would never have had to go talk to him, just look up the case files?

I'm a great fan of Dexter. Have followed him from the start. Could anyone tell me what station he is on. I'm a bit confused by all the comments as I can't find the programme anywhere. Are they watching it on the internet.

Well that wasn't awfully helpful was it?

Yes, they are downloading and watching online. I can't explain how they are doing this, as its against site rules, but yes, that is how they are viewing it. I'm sure its being shown somewhere if you do a quick google, I'm sure you'll find out how to watch on tv, and online, or some kind soul will PM you. If all else fails, PM me, I'll tell you.

Interesting twist with Dexter throwing off the Dark Passenger, and with Hannah declaring her love for Dexter. Its all being set up for a real Breaking Bad Final Season here.

I dont mean going into the details of each character. I just mean they could flesh out the story lines a little more. Like the thing with Hannahs dad just seemed too rushed. If they wanted to show Dexter stepping away from his code, it would have been much more dramatic and significant if he had done it with someone we already know.

I just dont like the way the writers seem to just write in whatever they need too to get to their end goal, with no real thought process to the journey of getting there. If that makes sense!

Either you're missing the bigger picture here, or I'm giving the writers too much credit and hoping my predictions are right.

IMO I see this as a lead up to Dexter being able to ignore the code completely in such a significant manner, eg. rather than try throw LaGuerta off the trail, he'll just kill her. Baby steps and all that. It's easier for him to kill someone without repercussions if they barely exist in Miami and nobody is going to go looking for them (only Hannah and Dexter knew he was there). If there's little chance of getting caught, with or without the code, it gives him reason to "explore" his new understanding that he just likes killing, without having to follow procedure.

I think it makes it all the more interesting to see what/who comes next, and how far Dexter is willing to go.

Well, what with all the dodgy dealings that would go on in that place, they'd only implicate themselves with CCTV if the cops came calling about something.

Gangsters don't generally call the police to handle their business!

A strip club regularly investigated by the police department. Do you think the Ukranian mafia want to indict themselves? Just think of everything that's been said in that office, and what's possibly been said in relation to the drug operations. Now imagine what would happen if that was caught on CCTV, and police got hold of them?

Something that has been bugging me for a while now is Dexters boat. Surely it is covered with blood evidence by now? Quite a few times now people have bled out on it and I don't think there is any way you could get it all cleaned up when you do your body dumps at night. With LaGuerta on to him, I think the boat could play a big part in taking him down.

I think Lewis was the only one killed there (and that's because he wasn't killed by Dexter) who's blood showed up. Dexter puts protective plastic covering down before transporting anyone - he did it in this episode with Hannah McKay's father. I just watched this last night. Enjoyable but thought the whole Bobby thing was dealt with too quickly....
