Disability Allowance/Getting back to workforce?

    Hi,

    I would like to know other then Jobsbridge, and trying to find a job ourselves. Are there any programs/ community schemes? etc that help people that are on Disability Allowance return to work force? I had a look at citizens information site, and welfare.ie and i was not able to find any more information.

    Some of the sites have not seem to be updates/some programs cancelled?

    If someone knows what programs are available for DA recipients, please let me know, would deeply appreciate it. Thanks

    Have you looked at C.E. Schemes, I think that would be your best bet.
    The Community Employment (CE) programme is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged people to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.



    It is possible for participants to seek other part-time work during their placement. After the placement, participants are encouraged to seek permanent part-time and full-time jobs elsewhere based on the experience and new skills they have gained while in a Community Employment scheme.


    The Community Employment programme is administered by FÁS employment services and employment programmes which were transferred to the Department of Social Protection in January 2012.
