    Hello everyone.

I'm looking to add more RAM to my computer and any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated. :)

My Motherboard is an ASUS P5n-e sli

After looking around and 1000 searches later, I'm looking to buy myself Corsair TWIN2x2048-6400C5C 4GB 800MHz C5 DDR2 Memory Kit

Still not certain if this is compatible. Could someone give me some peace of mind.

Thanks for any and all help.

Do you want to replace your current RAM or add more?
What RAM is in there right now? there should be a little sticker on the side of the RAM.

If you have more than 3GB and you are not running 64Bit Windows then it only uses 3GB.

Hello and thank you for the reply.

Ideally I want to keep my current RAM, since I have 2 free slots. Right now my computer is running DDR PC2-6400 1GB each, and looking to buy 4GB more, 6gb would be nice. :)

I have re-installed my windows7 and running 64bit, so all good there.

The two black slots are linked for dual performance so are the yellow ones..put your two sticks in the black sockets or the two yellow ones, it doesn't matter, your computer will recognize them as dual

That's the better deal. Dabs don't include vat on their pricing so it often catches people out until they go to pay.
