I'm after a laser cutter, doesn't have to be big and expensive, most I've seen are in the thousands!

I want to be able to cut paper, thin sheets of wood, perspex and some engraving.

If anyone knows of a second hand one for sale or where they got theirs and their experience please let me know!
    :D

    Hi spike

I am also in the same boat, I'm looking for a laser cutter/engraver and there seems to be a lack of information about them in the Irish market. There are many on eBay but from what I have read, they seem to be a bit iffy. I have contacted epilog , Hpc and kern. Epilog have responded and provided a price list but is out of my price range for even the smallest bed, I am looking for a med range machine. Kern sent a newsletter, that's it, no pricing or other information and Hpc e-mailed only once with about 4 words " they don't cut metal". I replied asking other questions, no response that was a week ago, rang them and left a number on an answer machine, no response?

So thats as far as I have got. Thought someone on boards.ie might have a solution or more information for me.

I am looking for a 4 foot by 3 foot bed laser and maybe a cnc router as well. If anyone has experience with Hpc laser could you share it

    Thanks
