What is the most beautiful song you have ever heard? Obviously, beauty is subjective, but there must be a song that defines 'beautiful' more than any other for you. For me, it would be Svefn-g-englar by Sigur Ros.

The whole thing is astonishing, but the falsetto chorus at 3:03 is particularly heart-rending.

What would it be for you? And please, pick the one song that means the most, not a litany of songs.

TSUKI NO UTA (MOONLIGHT BALLAD) by GACKT
First heard this one as the ending song to the Anime, TEXHNOLYZE. Absolutely beautiful. Still floors me, everytime I hear it. The melodic guitar blends well with the haunting strings, not to mention Gackt's soul-piercing vocals, aching in its longing. It also has one of the most beautiful lyrics ever to grace a song.
