I've read Isabels Skin and In the Country Of Men.

Isabels Skin sometimes skirts along the edge of clichè but theres a frisson of menace that gives it back its edge and brings it back from the brink. Its an enjoyable read, not quite unputdownable but probably quite close to it.

In the Country Of Men is very gripping, and the atmosphere is perfectly pitched. Its very absorbing but slows down in the middle. Again, not quite unputdownable, but close.

    Have you tried Goodreads -- www.goodreads.com ?

I find it very useful for recommending books I'll like based on what I've read before. Since I joined my to-read pile has mutated and is taking over the house.
