The NCT in this country is a complete and utter joke. The stuff that I am failing on has nothing to do with the safety of the car. Do not post if you have anything bad to say, just post if you have names and numbers please of the good people that do the NCT, in the munster area. Thanks.

Just PayPal me 100 euro and I will sort ya out.

Or maybe just get the car to a suitable standard?

Just curious to know why you think you don't have to follow the same set of rules as the rest of us?

What makes you or your car so special that the normal NCT regulations (which are open and transparent for all to see) should not apply to it?

What next? Maybe a fake tax disc? Fake insurance? Fake licence?

on 4th test on the same car the same day i pointed out the baseball bat in the boot needless to say it passed within a few seconds

    true story lads

i've had 2 cars since tested at the same centre and all have passed 1st time i left them in no douth that any messing will not be tolerated

Wheel caps are not removed, and dust caps, and saying tyres are 6 yrs old when I bought them a few months ago. Have gotten 3 NCTs now in 3 different places.

I'm the exact same, failing on stupid silly stuff, sick of it now at this stage, have put too much money into nct and the car.

Must try the baseball bat idea, sounds like it could work :p

    Items 1 & 2 ..take them off :D

Item 3 ..take them back to whoever sold them to you

    Hardly the NCT's fault

I didn't remove the wheel caps when I NCT'd my old car. It still passed, they just removed them themselves.

Anyone failing for hub caps not being removed is an idiot. The NCT testers must be absolutely bewildered when they get a car with the caps still on. How much clearer for people can it be?

Did you buy them new a few months ago? You realise that it doesn't matter when you bought them? The date that matters is actually ON the tyre.

    Obviously I bought them new!
