We have a triax box which worked fine until a few days ago (around Tuesday) when the Irish channels suddenly stopped working saying 'no signal'. We tried to retune it but they won't work. The british channels work fine. We hoped it would just come back but it hasn't yet.
Any ideas on how to get them back?
    Thanks

Do you have the aerial system necessary to consistently deliver a usable Saorview signal to the receiver?

What part of the country are you in?

Well we have a aerial so we thought that maybe it needs to be changd as we heard that some people needed to change their aerial after the switchover. We are in ulster (I think it's the Carn Hill transmitter).

An aerial that delivered decent Cairn Hill reception before switchover should still work now, provided aerial & cables etc. are in good condition.

People who needed a change of aerial were probably receiving just the RTE analogue channels (no TV3 or TG4) from the Truskmore transmitter in Sligo.

See it worked fine up until a few days ago and it's just gone now. Maybe the aerial is damaged, I don't know. Hopefully it will come back!

Take a look at the Saorview coverage checker & see what it has to say about your location.

I find I'm have to retune my TV every few days. (Saorview compatible Samsung.) I thought it might have been a problem around the time of the switchover but it has persisted and if anything is worse now.

My reception is crapola too. After e-mailing the good folk at saorview I can now say confidently that the service is awful.

Do you mean the customer service, or the Saorview tv service itself?

Do you have the aerial setup necessary to deliver a decent Saorview signal to your receiver(s)?
