Gaming Build €900 + Catleap

Another one! I know there are loads of threads about this, I have looked at them and taken the advice already there so think I'm pretty much good to go. Just a quick question or two.

1. What is your budget? around €1300 is about as high as I can go (€900 for PC and €400 for Catleap or so). Cheaper would be better, but will to spend the money if its worth it.
2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming, play a lot of TFC, but will plan on playing new FPS games now that I'll be able to run them!
3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No.
4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I have a 2TB Samsung HDD that I can use for the moment, and can upgrade in the future.
5. Do you need a monitor? Plan on getting a 27" Catleap.
6. Do you need any of these peripherals? I have a Razer Deathadder mouse and Tarantula keyboard which I will continue to use. Could do with new speakers, but I can get them down the line.
7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes I'm happy to overclock.
8. How can you pay? Any
9. When are you purchasing? In time for Xmas hopefully, so very soon.
10. If you need help building it, where are you based? South Dublin.

Questions: Do I need to get fans/coolers for the CPU/graphics card for overclocking, and if so which do you recommend?

You can overclock the gpu with the cooler that comes with it.

You need a 3rd party cooler to overclock the cpu

Depends how much you want to spend, check out some reviews if you have the time.

One thing you might look into is upgrading the mobo to support crossfire.. It'll be a good way to extend the useful life of the pc.. By adding a second 7950 when it starts to become osbolute

Personally I find selling the old card and buying a new one works out better.

Eg I have a GTX 570 right now.
I could sell it for €180 and buy a 7970 for €360, (cost €180) or buy another GTX 570 and sli (would also cost me about €180)

The sli option may have more raw power but when you take into consideration that many games will not make full use of sli and the possibility of microstutter the 7970 would be the more sensible upgrade path for me.

Thanks for the help lads. Might downgrade the case to save money, but other than that it looks good to go.
